This 800 room luxury hotel is one of South Beach’s largest and most beautiful hotels along the beach. It is one of the best hotels to be developed within 30 years of South Beach development.
Many people consider this hotel an architectural masterpiece, and you cannot miss this luxury hotels cone-shaped multi-tiered 18 story tower that is perched far above the rest of South Beach. Guests never seem to lose their way when trying to get back to their hotel because of the structure.
As for the rooms, they can be a bit bland and box-like shaped, and are designed more for the traveler that likes to get out and see the destination rather than stay in the hotel all day and night. They are however, impeccable rooms with new bedspreads and new carpets. The best rooms to book are the one’s that face the beachside and that away from the congested traffic on Collins Avenue.
The Loews Hotel attempts to accommodate tourists and business travelers, while trying to maintain a taste of Art Deco. Sometimes the Loews might feel like a convention hall because it is such a big hotel and you might not get the personalized service you wish for. On the other hand, the staff truly tries to accommodate your every request and is friendly and helpful.
Making the hotel even more famous, world-renowned chef Emeril Lagasse created and opened Miami’s first Emeril’s, and it made the Loews a top attraction hotel as well as a focal point.
Once you make it through groups of people and staff in the lobby, you can enjoy the smell of popcorn as you make your way to the luxurious pool. The pool looks like as though it would be a pool based in Maui, rather than Miami considering the landscape.
The Loews is kid-friendly and they have an excellent Loews Loves Kids program which includes welcome gifts for kids under 10, special menus, supervised programs, tours, free rooms for children under 18 years old and much more. The adults are not forgotten don’t worry! There are loads of activities and fun games for adults to enjoy such as bingo, salsa lessons and Dive in Movies at the poolside.
