Beautiful Bayside Miami

Bayside Miami:
While heading south on I95, I expressed my frustrations of everyday life and how nice it must be to take a real vacation.
A real get away, like my friend who just traveled 1200 miles south to see Florida. Even though she was excited enough for both of us, I had a hard time getting excited about heading to Miami. Driving 40 minutes south couldn't possibly be far enough away from the ordinary. But, I didn't want to dampen her spirit so I faked a smile and continued toward Bayside Miami Marketplace.
Much to my surprise, we found a nice parking place and within minutes we were in the midst of all the excitement at Bayside Miami. You could see true enjoyment in people as they took pictures in front of the enormous Hammock tree, talked to parrots, entertained snakes, and played with monkeys.
I was busy starring in amazement at a guy juggling many different items when I almost ran into another guy on stilts. Thankfully, my friend grabbed my arm just in time and diverted a huge catastrophe. We both had a quick laugh and instantly I began to feel my mood lift.
We went on down to buy our tickets for the tour of the inter-coastal, and while we waited for our ship to come, we had plenty of time to enjoy the live salsa music that filled the air.
People were dancing and the weather was perfect. My hips began to sway with the music, and I could physically feel my troubles
fading away.

By the time our yacht tour arrived, I am not ashamed to say I felt like a complete tourist. I took in all that Miami had to offer; the high energy, the fresh salt water breeze, the beautiful architectural skyline, invigorating music, and the sight of people enjoying their life in that moment. I began to wonder how I've managed to live right next door to all this for so long without taking the time to experiencing all this first hand.
We both found the cruise to be very entertaining. We saw where many stars lived their lavish lifestyles, and the various settings to many of their box office hits. By the time we made our way back to port my mind was in a state of total relaxation, and the breathtaking sunset over the beautiful Miami skyline was the perfect ending. We only managed to fit about 4 hours of shopping in but, that's ok. There is always next time.
Later that night we were reviewing the photos on the computer and re-living the fun we had at Bayside Miami. I explained how thankful I was for the opportunity to show her around. If it wasn't for her brief visit, I probably wouldn't have gotten to know Miami the way I do today.
